Along with the southwest wind, the heat wave will continue in the north and central regions with highest temperatures of 37 to 40 degrees. The regions will have 10 to 17 hours of at least 36 degrees. The heatwave will continue until June 12 or 13.

The average temperatures in Hanoi are 37 to 39 degrees, with some places with temperatures of over 39 degrees.

Warnings about fire risks at residential areas and wildfires have been posted. The UV index in Hanoi, Danang and HCM City were from high to an extreme level of 7 to 10 which means protection is needed and travellers should seek shelter when the sun is too glaring.
