The tremors occurred between 9 pm on February 22 and 9.14 am the following day, measuring between 2.6 and 3.4 in magnitude, with the strongest recorded at 3.4. All were classified as level 0 on Vietnam’s natural disaster risk scale.

Residents near the epicentres reported light shaking, but no casualties or property damage were recorded.
The province also experienced six earthquakes on the morning of February 21, the fifth day of the Lunar New Year holiday, including a 4.0-magnitude tremor.
Since 2021, hundreds of quakes have been recorded in the area, formerly part of Kon Plong district in Kon Tum Province. The largest, measuring 5.0, occurred on July 28, 2024.
Local authorities said most tremors have been minor and caused no significant damage, adding that officials are closely monitoring the situation and advising residents on earthquake preparedness.
