According to the National Centre for Hydro-meteorology Forecasting, the rains will continue happening in the northern region until July 9. Strong winds may be seen during the rains.

Northern mountainous localities such as Lai Chau, Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang and Yen Bai provinces are predicted to face torrential rains and strong winds at night and early morning.
People have been warned of thunderstorms, flash floods and landslides due to the rains.
The rains would help localities in the northern delta and central coastal regions to fall 30-33 degrees Celsius during the next week.
More people, particularly children, have been hospitalised due to the scorching heat ravaging the country’s northern and central regions.
The hot weather is increasing the number of strokes reported. According to Bach Mai Hospital in Hanoi, the hospital receives 30 patients daily suffering from strokes.
