Despite being discovered for a long time, Brai Cave in Huong Hoa District’s Huong Lap Commune has not yet been prepared for tourism services. It is roughly one kilometre long and 20 metres high. It has countless stunning stalactite formations of various shapes, sizes, and vibrant colours. Small streams flow through the cave’s underground rocks.

Stalactites at Brai Cave damaged
Quang Tri authorities have approved the zoning plan for the 170-hectare Brai-Ta Puong Ecotourism Site and conducted cave surveys.
However, while waiting for investors to tap the cave’s potential, around 20 stalactites with diameters ranging from 5 to 15 cm each were damaged.
Ho Thi Ven, Chairwoman of Huong Lap Commune, said those involved in the illegal extraction of stalactites in Brai Cave have yet to be identified. The locality has placed signs banning the violations in the cave area and deployed patrols to prevent violations in a timely manner.
