The public as well as other doctors alike voiced their outrage when a doctor tried to conceal a woman body after she died at his beauty salon.

On October 22, the police in Hanoi arrested Dr. Nguyen Manh Tuong, owner of Cat Tuong Beauty Salon on Giai Phong Street. Tuong accidentally killed a 39-year-old woman when he was carrying out breast surgery.
After that, Tuong took the body to Vinh Tuy Bridge and dumped it into Red River. Meanwhile, it has also been discovered that Hanoi Department of Health had not granted permission to his salon to perform surgery.
Nguyen Manh Tuong was a doctor at Bach Mai Hospital, however, he was suspended after the incident. The Ministry of Health also sent its condolences to the victim's family and promised that it will cooperate with investigators to deal with this case.
Nguyen Ngoc Hien, Vice Director of Bach Mai Hospital said not only the board of directors, but all of the hospital's employees were shocked at Tuong's action. Hien said Tuong specialised in osteoarthritis. However, Hien was unaware that Tuong had opened a beauty salon.
Bach Mai Hospital has also sent its condolences to the victim's family.
"As a doctor, I can't accept such an immoral action. The Ministry of Health should consider withdrawing Nguyen Manh Tuong's doctors license," a doctor said.
