President Nguyen Minh Triet and Truong Tan Sang, Politburo member and permanent member of the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee joined leaders and people of Ho Chi Minh City in celebrating the traditional Tet festival on February 3, the first day of the Lunar New Year.
They congratulated the Party Committee and people of Ho Chi Minh City on their socio-economic achievements in the past year, particularly as the city is the country’s largest economic centre.
They said they believed Ho Chi Minh City would live up to its reputation of strong vitality, dynamism and creativity and lead the nation in the industrialisation cause, and they wished Ho Chi Minh City even greater achievements in the New Year.
