The Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PVN) will build on crucial achievements obtained to further develop in the future, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc said on April 22 at a working session with the PVN.
In the future, he hoped that the PVN will effectively realize Resolution No. 41-NQ/TW on orientations for the development strategy for Vietnam's oil and gas industry by 2025, with a vision to 2035 with a focus on exploration, exploitation to transportation, processing, storage, distribution, and export and import services.
The PVN should review regulations to improve the effectiveness of the State and business management, enhance the application of science and technology and propose measures to launch tasks assigned by the Party, State and people, he said.
In the first quarter of 2016, the PVN exploited 4.56 tons of crude oil, 7.2% higher than the set plan, supplied 5.21 billion kWh for the national electricity grid and contributed VND18,600 billion to the State budget.
