Vietnam Customs said on May 21 that officials had uncovered four suspicious transit shipments linked to Son Ha Transport and Services JSC at Huu Nghi Border Gate.
During an inspection of a shipment registered on April 5, authorities found 200 Koyo branded bearings labelled “Made in Japan”; 270 25W iPhone chargers; 200 22.5W phone chargers with charging cables marked iPhone; 750 Lightning charging cables bearing the iPhone brand; 800 Samsung branded earphones; and 120 35W iPhone chargers.
Officials also seized multiple iPhone 11 and iPhone 15 devices of various versions. The counterfeit goods in the shipment were valued at more than VND 529 million (approximately USD 20,300).

On May 7, customs officers discovered 17 packages containing goods infringing intellectual property rights, including 4,100 belts, 200 pairs of shoes and 50 handbags bearing counterfeit labels of brands such as Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Nike and Charles & Keith. The fake products were valued at more than VND 351.6 million (approximately USD 13,500).
On May 11, authorities found 570 pairs of sports shoes carrying Nike and Puma labels, along with 160 imitation leather handbags branded Hermes. The counterfeit shipment was valued at nearly VND 89.8 million (approximately USD 3,450).
In another shipment, officials uncovered six categories of products infringing intellectual property rights, including 2,455 pairs of footwear bearing labels such as Adidas, Nike, Asics, Alexander McQueen, Onitsuka Tiger, Louis Vuitton and New Balance.
The shipment also contained 567 imitation leather handbags labelled Chanel and Hermes, as well as 502 watches branded Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet and Cartier.

Customs officers also discovered undeclared items involving both counterfeit branding and false origin labels, including 1,345 pairs of Crocs sandals marked “Made in Vietnam” and 410 pairs of Adidas clogs carrying the same origin label. The counterfeit goods in this shipment were valued at more than VND 525.5 million (approximately USD 20,200).
According to customs authorities, initial investigations indicated signs of criminal offences. The cases were transferred to Lang Son Provincial Police for further investigation and handling.
Police investigators in Lang Son Province have since launched criminal proceedings and charged suspects linked to alleged industrial property rights violations involving the company.
