At the invitation of President of the Republic of Korea Lee Myung-bak, Vietnamese PM Nguyen Tan Dung on November 10 led a high-ranking delegation to Seoul for the G20 Summit.
The Government chief is accompanied by Minister-Chairman of the Office of Government Nguyen Xuan Phuc, leaders of the Ministry of Finance, the State Bank of Vietnam, the Ministry of National Defense, and the President of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
As the Chair of ASEAN in 2010, Vietnam will proactively work with G20 on economic growth, institutional building process, and formulation of a global management mechanism for the sake of emerging and developing economies.
Via these activities, the Vietnamese delegationhopes to raise the status of ASEAN in general and Vietnam in particular in the international arena and boost the country’s bilateral ties with G20 member states.
As scheduled, PM Dung will attend all rounds of discussions with G20 leaders and other inviters and meet with some world leaders and CEOs.
