Pilot Major Nguyen Huu Cuong of the missing Su 30Mk2 fighter jet reported that his co-pilot also successfully ejected and had landed some 7 kilometres from his location.

Cuong arrived in Nghe An province early this afternoon after being rescued by a local fisherman. He is in stable condition.
"When the aircraft got problems, Senior Lieutenant Colonel Tran Quang Khai I both successfully ejected," Cuong said. "I saw his parachute some 7 kilometres from mine but I then I lost sight of him."
Vietnamese Air Force Deputy Commander General Do Minh Tuan is calling on the rescue team to continue their best efforts to look for the aircraft and Senior Lieutenant Colonel Tran Quang Khai."
