Petroleum prices further cut

Petrol prices have dropped from December 7 following a decision by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Ministry of Finance.

Petrol prices have dropped from December 7 following a decision by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Ministry of Finance.

Under the ministries’ decision, the retail prices of E5 RON 92 and RON 95 fell VND509 and VND668 per litre respectively to VND21,290 and VND22,322.

Meanwhile, diesel prices dropped by VND475 per litre to VND19,721, kerosene fell by VND194 per litre to VND20,922 and mazut was cut by VND202 per kilo to VND15,527.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the domestic market’s petroleum price cut is based on the current lower global fuel prices following concerns over China's economic outlook.

Oil prices fell to a near five-month low on Tuesday.

So far this year, petroleum prices in Vietnam have been adjusted for 34 times, including 19 increases, 12 decreases and three kept unchanged.
