Gold shops on Tran Nhan Tong Street in Hanoi attracted a lot of people who came to sell gold.
A representative from a gold shop on the street said that gold prices have broken a 2011-record high.
Le Thi Mai from Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi, said her family needs money so he decided to buy some gold.
Some people went to gold shops quite early to sell gold.
By 8:30 this morning, Saigon Jewelry Joint Stock Company (SJC)’s buying and selling prices of its gold bars were at VND49.93 million and VND50.35 million, an increase of VND230,000 in buying price and a VND180,000 per tael in selling price compared to price Tuesday afternoon’s session.
