The Chu Se District People's Committee met with representatives from Chu Se Water Supply Company and Chu Prong Power Station after people protested at the water company's headquarters to complain about cuts to the water supply.
The director of the Chu Se Water Supply Company, Le Vinh Thinh, said the company has stopped supplying water since May 24 after its power was cut due to debts.
"We're facing financial problems," Thinh said. "Some clients failed to pay us, so we don't have the money to pay the electricity bills."

According to the meeting, Chu Se Water Company failed to pay over VND300 million (USD12,240) to the Chu Prong Power Station, which decided to cut its electricity supply. This has affected over 1,600 households in the area.
No solutions have been found to the repeated cuts since 2023.
