Readers of the online newspaper PetroTimes have voted the most four outstanding Vietnamese ministers of last year for their efforts in dealing with issues in their sectors.

The online vote attracted thousands of readers. Many ministers also contributed their opinions to the organising board, which made the selection more transparent and objective.
The vote disparity among the ministers did not turn out to be much. As of 9am, January 11, the highest votes were received by: Governor of State Bank of Vietnam Nguyen Van Binh, Transport Minister Dinh La Thang, Science and Technology Nguyen Quan and Construction Minister Trinh Dinh Dung.
Readers hope that these ministers take their honours as incentive to perform even better in 2014.
