One killed, 22 injured in tourist bus accident in Lao Cai
One was killed and 22 others injured when a tourist bus plunged into an abyss in the northern mountainous province of Lao Cai.
One was killed and 22 others injured when a tourist bus plunged into an abyss in the northern mountainous province of Lao Cai.
The accident occurred at around 6 pm on March 3. All of the victims who are from An Tuong Commune, Vinh Phuc Province's Vinh Tuong District are relatives. They were on the way to visit the tourist town of Sapa.

Colonel Pham Gia Chien, the spokesman of Lao Cai Province's Police Department, said that among the injured people, four are in critical condition, while the others face light injuries.
Right after the accident, the department sent police to protect the site for the investigation.
Nguyen Van Vinh, the provincial Party Secretary and Dang Xuan Phong, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee visited the injured in hospital.
