According to initial information from authorities of Binh Minh Commune, Tinh Gia District, three male tourists aged 22 visited a beach in Son Hai Village to go swimming on the morning of July 22. Two were from Hanoi, while the other was from Thai Binh Province.

Locals found the men struggling to stay afloat and tried to rescue them. Two were brought ashore, while one other went missing.
However, one of the men died after being hospitalised.
Local authorities are working with police to find the missing man.
