The airline served up to 540 flights with 79,000 passengers on April 29 during the recent Renunciation Day (April 30) and May Day holiday. However, after the occasion, Vietnam has faced the Covid-19 outbreak in many localities, causing the number of flights to decrease to just 200 with 15,000 passengers a day.

Passengers at Hall E of Noi Bai International Airport on May 11
On May 12-13, the airport had 90 flights with 9,000 passengers in total. The figures are forecast to continue dropping in the coming time.
The airport has decided to shut the operation of Hall E from May 17 so passengers have to move to Hall A and B instead. This will affect passengers of Vietjet Air, Bamboo Airways, Viettravel Airlines, Hai Au, Pacific Airlines and Vasco.
The airport’s units have continued imposing tight Covid-19 prevention measures. Staff are asked to ensure safe distances and in many cases, organise online meetings.
