Nearly 4,500 entries sent to ‘Vietnam - My Homeland’ photo contest

Approximately 4,500 photos have been sent to the 5th tourism photo contest entitled ‘Vietnam - My Homeland’.

Approximately 4,500 photos have been sent to the 5th tourism photo contest entitled ‘Vietnam - My Homeland’.

The contest, jointly held by the Vietnam Tourism Review Magazine and the Vietnam Artistic Photographers Association, will promote tourism in Vietnam for Hanoi’s 1,000th anniversary and National Tourism Year 2010.

Entries including 4,301 colour photographs and 125 black-and-white were sent from 456 Vietnamese and foreign photographers. Hanoi had the largest number of entries: 1,568 photographs from 112 photographers.

The contest entries reflect the uniqueness, beauty and variety in the life and culture of the Vietnamese people, as well as tourist areas, heritage and cultural preservation, historic sites and traditional festivals throughout the country.

An award ceremony and exhibition will be held on July 1 at the Exhibition Hall at No.29 Hang Bai Street, Hanoi.
