According to the confederation, three flights with a total of 670 seats will be conducted to transport workers in the southern region home in the north to celebrate Tet.
The flights will depart from Tan Son Nhat International Airport to Vinh Airport in Nghe An, Tho Xuan Airport in Thanh Hoa, Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi and Cat Bi Airport in Haiphong on February 6-8 next year.
Meanwhile, more than 2,000 other people working in the south will be given free train tickets to return home in the north. The trains from the south to the north will run on February 4-7, with return services on February 13-17.
The beneficiaries are those working in Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Long An, Ba Ria-Vung Tau and Tay Ninh.
Tet Lunar New Year is the biggest and most important festival in Vietnam. The 2024 Lunar New Year’s Day falls on February 10.
