The respect-paying ceremony for the former Party leader starts at 7am on October 6 and ends at 7.30 am on October 7 at the National Funeral Hall at No. 5, Tran Thanh Tong Street, Hanoi.
Family members of the former Party leader were the first to offer incense and flowers to their beloved.

Memorial ceremonies are also held at the same time at the Independence Palace in Ho Chi Minh City. At 7:00 a.m., HCMC's Party Secretary Nguyen Thien Nhan led a delegation of the city's officials to pay tribute to CPVCC's former General Secretary Do Muoi.

Former General Secretary of the CPV Central Committee Do Muoi was born on February 2, 1917, in Dong My commune, Thanh Tri district, Hanoi. He passed away in Hanoi on October 1 at the age of 101 due to serious illness. He served as General Secretary of the CPV Central Committee from June 1991 to December 1997, and was presented with an insignia of 80-year Party membership.
Vietnam declares two days of national mourning for him on October 6 and 7.
