Five people quarantined in Thanh Hoa
Those two have lived and worked in Daegu City. They left South Korea for Vietnam on February 21 and landed at Danang International Airport. They returned to their houses in Cua Viet Town by bus at 11 pm on the same day. The authorities asked them to remain at home.
However, on February 26, one of them had a fever and was brought to the quarantine area. According to the province's Department of Health, she may only have a regular fever. The bus driver and those who have had contact with the two of them will be monitored. 16 people who had constant contact with the ill woman will be quarantined.
In Thanh Hoa, five people have been quarantined at Thanh Hoa General Hospital after returning from Daegu City. Four of them are members of a family, including a 3-month-old baby. They arrived at Noi Bai Airport on February 23 and went home by the family car. The fifth person is a student in Daegu and went home by taxi.
The steering committees for disease control and various localities visited each household to raise awareness about the outbreak and disinfect the surrounding areas.
In Quang Binh, two students returned from South Korea were quarantined. One of the students was given a health check at the Danang Lung Hospital and self-isolated at home. She wore a face mask when she travelled home by passenger bus.
The other student also returned home by a passenger bus. The authorities also guided her and her family on how to quarantine at home. Her family's shop has to temporarily shut down.
