At the reception, Dantri/Dtinews' Editor-in-Chief Pham Tuan Anh said that the newspaper operates both an online and print edition. Over 20 years of development, its online platform has become one of Vietnam’s leading news outlets and currently serves as the official publication of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Dantri/Dtinews' Editor-in-Chief Pham Tuan Anh (centre) welcomes a delegation of media officials from Laos’ Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare to a two-month short-term training programme in Vietnam on October 16.
Pham Tuan Anh emphasised that Dantri/Dtinews has always been at the forefront of adopting new technologies and fostering creativity to enhance efficiency and better serve its readers.
“With its strengths in both content and presentation, Dantri/Dtinews hopes to share valuable knowledge, skills, and experience that Lao media officials can apply in their own work,” he said.
To ensure the success of the programme, Dantri/Dtinews has designed a detailed training plan, assigning senior editors and journalists to directly guide and work with the Lao participants.
“During this time, we consider our Lao colleagues as part of our newsroom family. All our reporters and editors are ready to support them with enthusiasm and dedication,” Pham added.
He expressed his hope that beyond professional learning, the course would also strengthen the special friendship between Vietnam and Laos.

Speaking at the event, Soukanya Outhaithit, a technical officer from the Public Relations Department of the Lao National Social Security Organisation, said she was delighted by the warm welcome from Vietnam. She thanked Dantri/Dtinews and the organisers for offering Lao participants the opportunity to learn and gain practical journalism experience.

“We sincerely appreciate the warm reception from Vietnam and Dantri/Dtinews today,” said Phetsamay Phimmasone, Deputy Head of the Information Technology Department at Laos’ Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare.
During the two-month course, Lao participants will work alongside Dantri/Dtinews’ experienced journalists and editors, engaging in sessions on multimedia journalism trends, information management standards, digital technology applications in journalism, and media economics.
