The iron-hulled boat has been found at a beach in Quang Tri
The provincial People's Committee has asked the local Border Guard Command to co-operate with concerned agencies to quickly tow the ship to anchor at the Hai Doi 2 Port in Pho Hoi Village in Trieu Phong District.
The border guard force has been instructed to ensure security and safety of the ship.
Under the Quang Tri Border Guard Command’s proposal, provincial authorities need to look for the ship's owner. If they fail to find the owner, the ship will be auctioned and the collected money will be contributed to the state budget as regulated.
The ship is valued at around VND5 billion (USD204,081).
