
Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security made the statement on June 21, saying that they notified Interpol to issue a red notice to hunt the man, which was accepted by the international organisation.
According to Interpol, a red notice is “the closest instrument to an international arrest warrant in use today”.
As President of the Board of Directors of Vietnam National Shipping Lines (Vinalines) in 2008, Duong Chi Dung deliberately violated State regulations on economic management causing serious consequences.
Any party that arrests the man is requested to inform Interpol or its Hanoi office.
