Illegal homestay facilities rampant in Vinh Hy Bay

The move came after an inspection team from Ninh Hai District People's Committee found that the owners of some homestay facilities including Lo O, Chanh Ranh, the Lang Chai Seafood Restaurant, and some guest houses including Vu Ha, Thanh Huong and Vinh Hy had no land use right certificates.
Many floating restaurants under the Tan Vinh Cuong, Ut Thanh, and Dung Nhan brand names do not meet requirements. Some are still illegally using land managed by Nui Chua National Park.
The committee also issued warnings to three officials in Vinh Hai Commune. It has asked agencies to work with owners of the facilities to reclaim any illegally taken land.
