Several officials in Ninh Hai District in the southern province of Ninh Thuan have been given warnings for land management violations which has led to the construction of a rash of illegal tourism facilities on Vinh Hy Bay.A corner of Vinh Hy Bay
The move came after an inspection team from Ninh Hai District People's Committee found that the owners of some homestay facilities including Lo O, Chanh Ranh, the Lang Chai Seafood Restaurant, and some guest houses including Vu Ha, Thanh Huong and Vinh Hy had no land use right certificates.Many floating restaurants under the Tan Vinh Cuong, Ut Thanh, and Dung Nhan brand names do not meet requirements. Some are still illegally using land managed by Nui Chua National Park.
The committee also issued warnings to three officials in Vinh Hai Commune. It has asked agencies to work with owners of the facilities to reclaim any illegally taken land.
Vinh Hy Bay lies along the south-central coast and is famous for its pristine beauty and coral diving tours.
