Many among the facilities have been finished; however, the local authorities seemed to ignore the construction.

Only recent resident complaints about illegal construction have made Vinh Loc District send a team to inspect the area.

Hoang Thi Thu Hien, chief office manager of the committee, said that earlier Vinh An Commune allowed a local resident named Trinh Van Thanh to sell tickets to visitors to the site. Initially, Thanh said that he wanted to build some small tents for visitors to take a rest. However, he has gradually built more facilities which were not permitted.

Vu Thi Huong, chairman of Vinh Loc People’s Committee, said that Thanh were requested to dismantle the illegal construction. She added that tourism services have not yet been allowed in Kim Son area to date.

Local authorities are investigating the case.

Kim Son national landscape, which is surrounded by 29 limestone mountains, has a system of beautiful caves.
