The Danang Tourism Promotion Centre said ticket sales and guided tours of the old quarter will pause from February 16 to 19 (the 29th day of the final lunar month to the third day of Tet).
Pedestrian-only streets, non-motorised vehicle zones and the night market will be suspended from February 14 to 19, while several central streets, including Tran Phu, Nguyen Thai Hoc and a section of Bach Dang, will close earlier, from February 10.
Authorities said the adjustments were intended to facilitate traditional New Year rituals and community activities.
Despite the suspension of ticket sales, heritage sites along designated routes will remain open to residents and visitors, though opening hours will not follow the usual ticketed schedule.
Visitors will also be able to walk freely through the old town, including communal houses, pagodas and assembly halls serving early-year spiritual needs.
