The People's Council of Tay Ninh Province on September 25 approved the allocation of VND 2.5 trillion (USD 96.15 million) in additional funding from the central government budget to support the first phase of the Go Dau-Xa Mat Expressway project.

Under the approved plan, VND 2.2 trillion (USD 84.62 million) will be used for land acquisition, compensation, site clearance and resettlement activities.
The remaining VND 300 billion (USD 11.54 million) will be allocated to the construction of the main expressway section and associated local access roads serving nearby communities.
The project will be implemented under a public-private partnership (PPP) model.
The first phase of the Go Dau-Xa Mat Expressway will stretch 28.04 kilometres and feature four traffic lanes, with a design speed of 120 kilometres per hour.
The route will begin at an interchange with the Ho Chi Minh City-Moc Bai Expressway in Phuoc Thanh Commune and extend to Ninh Thanh Ward in Tay Ninh Province.
The project's total estimated investment is VND 9.826 trillion (USD 377.92 million).
Authorities expect the expressway to improve regional connectivity, strengthen transport links between southern economic centres and border areas, and support trade and logistics development in Tay Ninh and neighbouring provinces.
