Hoi An will celebrate the arrival of the 8 millionth tourist to visit the old quarter at the Japanese-style Chua Cau Bridge since 1995, on Thursday.

The city's culture and sports centre said gifts will be given to lucky tourists at the event.
The old town started selling package tickets for tourists to visit the old street in 1995.
Hoi An hosted 1.2 million foreign visitors in the old quarter in 2015, a 39 per cent increase in comparison to 2014.
