On Sunday, heavy rains occurred in Nhon Trach District for around two hours, flooding many roads in Phuoc Hiep residential area.
The flood water rose so sharply that local residents could not respond in time. As a result, most of their possessions were left deep under water. A resident who has lived in the area for many years said that he has never witnessed such serious flooding.
Vo Van Tinh, 60, said that his car was swept away. He has been living in Hiep Phuoc for 50 years, but this is the worst flooding he had ever seen.
At midnight, many people whose cars were affected had to call for traffic rescue services. As many as 10 cars in the area were damaged by the flooding.
Many home interiors were wrecked. Tables, chairs, and cabinets were smashed and mud mixed with clothes, blankets, dishes, and glasses.
