A street is flood after a heavy rain in Kien Giang Province on July 11.
Following the two-hour rain, many local streets such as Lac Hong, Nguyen Trung Truc and Dong Da were left under water.
Nguyen Anh Khoa from Vinh Lac Ward said that water rushed into houses located in low areas on Nguyen Trung Truc Street. His motorbike stalled some 200 metres from his office.
The inundation caused traffic congestion on some roads.
Local authorities instructed concerned units to clear drainage systems on flooded roads, allowing the water to recede quickly.
According to the Southern Regional Hydrometeorological Station, the southern region of Vietnam would face widespread rain from July 11-13.
