
Most of the flowers at the market are imported from Da Lat and southwestern localities.

Dinh Huu Sang, 43, who came to the market to buy flowers for his shop, said demand was quite low so each time he invested just a few million dong on flowers.

Flowers such as roses, daisies, lilies, carnations and sunflowers often attract customers.

Traders hope that they receive more customers on October 20.

At around midnight, flowers are transported by trucks to Ho Thi Ky Flower Market to be sold to retailers.

Traders said flower prices were a bit higher than usual this year.

Foreign tourists also visit the flower market.
