According to the department, in December last year, the department requested Tan Son Nhat International Airport to install the lifts at the parking of domestic terminal before the Lunar New Year 2021 to ease traffic congestion. The department also asked for a bus lane at the terminal.

However, to date, the work has not yet been done. The airport needs to instruct TCP Investment JS Company to install the lifts before April 30. Meanwhile, the bus lane arrangement needs to be implemented quickly.
Since November last year, Tan Son Nhat International Airport has adjusted traffic to mitigate congestion at the domestic terminal. Specific lanes are regulated for different vehicles and pick-up and drop-off points.
For vehicles of more than 25 seats, the pick-up and drop-off are regulated at outdoor stops in front of the parking lot. App-based vehicles now are banned from going into Lane D of the parking lot. Instead, they have to go into the third, fourth and fifth floor of the parking area.
At present, only Vinasun, Mai Linh, Vina and Saigontourist are allowed to operate at Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
