The move followed the committee’s instruction on the city’s social distancing extension of two weeks due to the complicated situation regarding the pandemic.

The dormitories will be used for F1 cases.

The committee has also asked districts to establish quarantine sites of at least 200 beds each. Thu Duc City has a minimum capacity of 600 beds.

According to the committee, quarantine areas have to ensure a minimum distance of two metres between people in a room. Shields are also needed to be installed between beds. Districts have to arrange security for the management of quarantine sites.

Since April 27, HCM City has detected up to 894 Covid-19 patients. Over the past four days, 69 Covid-19 cases related to HCM City Hospital for Tropical Diseases have been found.
