Due to HCM City’s Covid-19 outbreak, blood donation activities in the city were postponed, affecting blood stockpiles. They only had sufficient supply for a few days.
A blood donor in HCM City
Seven days following the HCM City Blood Donation Centre’s call, many people have come to make blood donations. As a result, each day, the centre receives around 1,000-1,200 blood bags, raising its blood stocks to 7,500 bags to date.
Volunteers can register their donation through mobile phone to save time during the Covid-19 pandemic. After the health declaration and medical check-up, it takes a person only 10 minutes to complete the procedure.
Blood donations can be made between 8 am to 11:30 am and from 1:30 pm to 5 pm every day.
