According to the committee's proposal, there should be some flights a week on the HCM City-Hanoi route to meet the traveling demand between the country's two key economic centres.

The committees also asked CAAV to co-operate with the municipal Transport Department to have plans for reopening flights between the city and other localities based on the Covid-19 situation in different areas.

According to a plan by CAAV, some 385 domestic flights will be resumed daily nationwide from October 5, in which 132 flights will be conducted in HCM City everyday on 18 flight routes.

Earlier authorities in some provinces including Binh Dinh, Dien Bien, Khanh Hoa, and Phu Yen have also approved on CAAV's plan to resume flights in their areas. Hai Phong has proposed to postpone the plan in the city.

Meanwhile, Hanoi has asked CAAV to carefully give instructions on different groups of passengers depending on whether they come from Covid-19-affected areas or not. The capital people's committee also proposed that all flights to and from the Noi Bai Airport must be agreed by local authorities of concerned localities.
