Hanoi’s first two electric bus routes to be launched from October

They are among nine electric bus routes approved by local authorities.

 

An electric bus piloted in Hanoi

The first route starts from My Dinh Station in Nam Tu Liem District and ends at Ocean Park Gia Lam Urban Area in Long Bien District. The second one runs from Giap Bat Station in Hoang Mai District to Smart City Urban Area in Nam Tu Liem District.

The Hanoi Department of Transport said that preparations for the two route operations have been finished.

The city has planned to put the seven remaining electric bus routes into use by the end of this year.

Hanoi has set a target to raise the city’s rate of CNG-fueled buses to 10-20% in the coming time to help protect the environment.
