Tran Dang Vui, 62, and his wife from Thanh Xuan District’s Bui Xuong Trach Street went to get a fourth Covid-19 vaccine shot on Friday.
"I have underlying medical conditions, so it is necessary for me to have booster jabs, particularly in the context of the appearance of two new Omicron BA.4 and BA.5 sub-variants,” Vui said.

Many mostly elderly residents from Khuong Dinh Ward also gathered at Khuong Dinh Primary School for the vaccination on the morning of July 22. People are provided with temperature checks before the injection.

Dr. Nguyen Thi Bac, head of Khuong Dinh Medical Station, said that initially, around 600 people registered for the booster jabs this time, however, in reality, the figure was 700, and around two to three times higher than two months ago.

Medical staff were arranged to support people, especially the elderly, in necessary cases.

Ho Anh Quynh, 28, said she experienced mild symptoms when contracting Covid-19 thanks to being given the vaccination. So she was really eager for the fourth jab.

According to Dr. Bac, staff had to work at full capacity to serve people. Moderna and Pfizer are the two main vaccines used.

People were requested to take a rest for 30 minutes after being vaccinated before returning home.

According to a 77-year-old man in Bui Xuong Trach, he almost witnessed no side effects following the first three Covid-19 vaccine shots.
