Bac Giang is facing difficulties in selling its lychee harvest due to the pandemic. Many groups and individuals have helped collect, distribute and sell the produce.

Nghiem Thanh Thuy said that her group had sold 29 tonnes of lychee. “The lychees have been sold well for VND20,000 (USD0.8) per kilo,” Thuy added.

Before the pandemic, the lychees from Tan Yen District at VietGap standard used to be exported to China.

Thuy’s Group has brought lychees to Nguyen Trai, Dai Co Viet and Vo Trong Phung streets in Hanoi for sale.

Vehicles are sterilised before carrying lychees.

Tran Quang Tung from Dong Da District said that he bought 20 kilos of lychees to support Bac Giang.

The group sold around 10 tonnes of lychees in a day.
