On June 21, many restaurants eagerly cleaned up their sites and prepared to receive customers. Many restaurant owners worked until midnight to prepare so that they could reopen on June 22.

Hang, an owner on Tran Phu Street, was able to reopen her restaurant at 12 am on June 22 and received early customers after the social distancing period.

"For the past months, we only offered take-away services even though many customers want to eat on site. I also prepared dividers when I heard that restaurants could reopen," she said.

Nguyen Thi Nhan, an employee at a noddle restaurant on Hang Dong Street, said everyone was glad when they can reopen onsite services. The revenue was low during the social distancing period.

Thanh, a resident in Hang Bo Ward, said she immediately went to the regular restaurant to enjoy breakfast after hearing the news. Noodle restaurants normally host their customers while others restaurants only saw a few people coming in.

Restaurants were asked to only work at half of their capacity, not receive more than 20 people at the same time, and close before 9 pm.
