Hanoi’s Department of Transport identified in September 21 construction sites that have been causing traffic congestion, including the Cat Linh-Ha Dong Railway Project, which is causing major problems on Nguyen Trai Street. Authorities threatened to revoke the licences of projects causing severe traffic jams, but the situation has not improved.

Deputy Minister of Transport Nguyen Hong Truong promised on October 13 that congestion in Hanoi would ease after major work on the Cat Linh-Ha Dong Railway project was completed this year.
