Belt Road 3, the first overpass in Hanoi, will be opened to traffic on October 21, according to the Ministry of Transport.
The 9-km road linking Linh Dam Lake and Mai Dich Overpass cost VND5.54 trillion (USD263.8 million).
The project includes three bidding packages, with the third connecting Thanh Xuan District and the north of Linh Dam Lake which was put into operation on June 30. The whole route will be opened on October 21.
The Hanoi Department of Transport said only cars will be allowed to run on the road.
The road is expected to ease traffic jams on Pham Hung Street.
