Hanoi man fined for not wearing face mask in public
The case caused public anger after the video was posted online. In the clip, three men were standing inside an elevator of the Home City Apartment Complex. However, one of them did not wear his face mask. He kept spitting on the floor, used the face mask to wipe his mouth and hung the dirty face mask on the public hand wash bottle.
At the police station, the man said he is from Bac Giang Province and is a resident at Home City. He admitted that he was wrong and accepted the fines.
He was fined VND2m for dropping his face mask and VND2m for not wearing a face mask in public places.
The authorities have also taken samples to test the man for Covid-19.
