Hanoi detects 29 Covid-19 cases through large-scale testing campaign

Hanoi has found 29 Covid-19 patients through the city's large-scale Covid-19 testing campaign on more than 300,000 people.

Since August 9, districts in Hanoi have provided Covid-19 testing for 313,010 people in high-risk areas and those with a high risk of infection.

The Covid-19 testing in Hanoi

Among the patients, 26 were confirmed following the testing for people in high-risk areas in 11 districts namely Ba Dinh, Dong Anh, Dong Da, Ha Dong, Hoan Kiem, Ha Ba Trung, Hoang Mai, Tay Ho, Thanh Tri, Thanh Xuan and Thuong Tien.

Specifically, three cases were in locked-down areas in Tho Am Village, Thanh Tri District which is a Covid-19 epicentre in Hanoi with more than 70 cases. Twenty-three others are in Van Chuong Ward, Dong Da District.

Meanwhile, through the testing of people with a high risk of infection in 30 towns and districts in Hanoi, three tested positive for Covid-19. They are in Hai Ba Trung, Thanh Oai and Ha Dong districts. Two among them are related to Minh Hien slaughtering house which is home to around 200 staff and supplies meat for many markets across the city.

Hanoi has continued the Covid-19 testing for high-risk areas and vulnerable people.
