The local authorities are considering scrapping other large events for Tet amid Covid-19.
The committee further asked all agencies to make fighting Covid-19 a top priority around Tet Holiday to detect new cases quickly while developing the economy to meet the set goals for the year. Other provinces will help poorer provinces and cities to limit damage.
State agencies on all levels must work together to improve on testing, contact tracing, and asking people to fill in the medical declaration forms. The number of suspected cases will be widened and more tests will be carried out for people who had been in contact with a confirmed patient, returned from a hotspot, the medical staff or vulnerable people in quarantine centres.
Hanoi authorities will work with the Ministry of Health to carry out tests for all employees at Noi Bai Airport soon while speeding tests at locations that have been locked down like FPT University and Bach Tru Village. They will plan and prepare for all scenarios including calling for university students and retired doctors and nurses to help.
More quarantine centres and field hospitals will be opened at Bac Thang Long Hospital, Duc Giang Hospital and district-level hospitals. When the vaccines are ready, they will be given to the most vulnerable people first.
