At an October 9 ceremony, Hanoi announced 292 projects worth VND 384.89 trillion (USD 14.63 billion) across transport, healthcare, tourism, education and other sectors.
Of these, 96 projects worth VND 147.08 trillion are set for inauguration or groundbreaking around October 10, including 18 flagship projects valued at VND 127.46 trillion (USD 4.85 billion), with four being inaugurated or opened to traffic and 14 breaking ground.

Among the major developments is Ba Vi Safari Park, a proposed 299-hectare wildlife park with investment exceeding VND 6.5 trillion (USD 247 million).
The park will be built entirely outside Ba Vi National Park, separate from its protected forest areas.
According to the plan, around 81.8 per cent of the site will be devoted to greenery and water features, creating ecological corridors and habitats for animals.
The park will feature animal shows designed to international standards and is expected to become a major wildlife tourism destination in western Hanoi, promoting nature conservation and sustainable tourism.
Transport projects include a parallel road along Ring Road 4, Yen So Bus Station and the final three sections of Ring Road 2.5, connecting Dich Vong with Duong Dinh Nghe, Vu Pham Ham with Tran Duy Hung, and Nguy Nhu Kon Tum with Nguyen Trai.
The three sections are the last of 13 making up the more than 19-kilometre Ring Road 2.5, which is expected to improve connectivity and ease pressure on existing roads.
Other projects include an elevated road along Co Linh Street, Giang Bien inland waterway port and a second campus for Hanoi Heart Hospital.
The city plans to develop cultural, retail and tourism spaces around 131 railway arches south of Long Bien Bridge, alongside a hotel, office and commercial complex in Dong Anh and a multipurpose entertainment and horse racing complex in Soc Son.
Environmental projects include improvements to the Cau Bay and Nhue rivers, flood protection works, and a wastewater collection network for the S3 drainage basin and the Phu Do wastewater treatment plant.
The city also announced the first phase of Tien Thang Industrial Park and three modern multi-level schools in Soc Son, Thach That and Phu Dong.
Another flagship project involves a cybersecurity centre, centralised server facilities and offices for Hanoi Police's cybercrime prevention unit.
Speaking at the ceremony, Hanoi People's Committee Chairman Vu Dai Thang said non-budget funding accounted for more than VND 350.77 trillion (USD 13.34 billion), or over 91 per cent of the total investment in the 292 projects.
He said the high proportion of private and other non-budget capital highlighted the growing role of businesses and investors in the capital's development.
Thang added that the projects were intended to improve infrastructure, enhance residents' quality of life and create new drivers of economic growth, while requiring greater attention to investment efficiency, construction quality and implementation.
