A Hanoi apartment building has been quarantined after a local resident tested positive for Covid-19.
Park View Tower - Dong Phat Apartment Building in Vinh Hung Ward, Hanoi’s Hoang Mai District, which is home to 1,200 residents, has been locked down since this morning, September 20.
If the Covid-19 infection risk is low, the lockdown will be applied on the 25th floor for 21 days.
The Covid-19 patient is a 41-year-old woman who tested positive for Covid-19 on Sunday. She was staying at home for nearly two months. She went to the local markets and supermarkets near her house every day.
Right after the case was confirmed, around 1,000 people who are living at the building were provided with the Covid-19 testing.
An official from Hoang Mai District denied rumours that ten people at the building had tested positive for Covid-19.
Security forces have been arranged to supervise Covid-19 prevention and control activities at the building.
