The Hanoi People’s Council has just announced the result of vote of confidence; the highest ranking among went to Council Chairwoman Ngo Thi Doan Thanh.

The officials assessed based on the results of implementing their assigned tasks and political ability
The lowest ranking in the vote went to the Chairman of the Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, Nguyen Dinh Duc.
The vote of confidence involves 18 officials who are members of the city people’s committee, the council’s chairwoman and vice chairman, and heads of council departments.
They are assessed based on the results of implementing their assigned tasks and political ability.
The three marks a candidate can receive include "high confidence", "confidence" and "low confidence", the same procedure used for the National Assembly. Those who receive over 50% low confidence votes for two consecutive years would face votes for dismissal.
This is the first time the Hanoi People’s Council has conducted such a vote. According to chairwoman, Ngo Thi Doan Thanh, this will become an annual procedure.
