A video showing four snakes writhing inside an air conditioner's indoor unit was shared on social media on June 5, leaving many viewers alarmed.
The footage was posted by Quyen, a 32-year-old air conditioning technician from Duc Pho Ward, Quang Ngai Province.

According to Quyen, he was called to a home in Mo Duc Commune on June 4 after the owner reported unusual noises coming from a bedroom air conditioner.
The unit had been installed high on a wall near a window. While running the system to identify the problem, Quyen heard repeated sounds coming from inside the indoor unit and decided to remove the outer casing for inspection.
"I was startled when I spotted the tail of a snake sticking out, while its head remained deep inside the unit. That was what had been causing the strange noises," he said.
Using pliers, he managed to pull the snake out. To his surprise, however, there were three more snakes hidden inside the air conditioner.
Each snake measured approximately 60-70 centimetres in length and was tightly wrapped around internal components, making removal difficult.
After examining the reptiles, Quyen identified them as non-venomous rat snakes, a species known for its ability to climb walls.
Several of his colleagues in the air conditioning repair trade said they had previously encountered the same species inside cooling units.
"The homeowner had wallpaper on the walls, which may have made it easier for the snakes to climb up and enter the air conditioner to escape the heat," Quyen said.
"I often find mice inside air conditioning units, but this is the first time I've come across an entire nest of snakes."

He advised homeowners to have air conditioners cleaned and serviced regularly to ensure efficient operation, reduce electricity consumption and allow technicians to detect and remove any animals sheltering inside the equipment.
A similar incident occurred in April 2025 in Danang, where an air conditioning technician reportedly removed seven snakes from inside a household unit after a resident discovered reptiles had entered the system.
